Eligibility Criteria for ISRO NRSC Recruitment 2026

Candidates must satisfy the prescribed academic requirements:

  • M.E./M.Tech – Minimum 60% marks or CGPA 6.5/10
  • M.Sc./M.Sc.Tech – Minimum 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10
  • B.E./B.Tech – Minimum 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10
  • B.Sc. – Minimum 60% marks or CGPA 6.5/10

Additional conditions include:

  • Degrees must be recognized by AICTE/UGC or Government of India.
  • Only candidates who have completed their degree are eligible.
  • Candidates awaiting final results are not eligible.
  • Open & Distance Learning (ODL) B.Tech/M.Tech degrees are not accepted.
  • For JRF posts, candidates must possess a valid NET/GATE or equivalent national-level examination qualification as specified.

Age relaxation for PwBD and Ex-servicemen is applicable as per Government of India rules.

Application Fee

  • ₹250 per application.
  • Fee is refundable to Women, SC/ST, PwBD, and Ex-servicemen candidates who satisfy the eligibility conditions and participate in the interview process.
  • Payment must be made through the Bharatkosh payment gateway.

Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of:

  1. Online application submission.
  2. Screening of applications based on eligibility and project requirements.
  3. Shortlisting of suitable candidates.
  4. Personal interview.
  5. Final selection based on interview performance.

Only shortlisted candidates will receive interview call letters through email, and the shortlist will also be published on the NRSC website.

Tenure

  • Initial appointment is for one year.
  • Extension depends on project duration and performance.
  • JRF and Research Scientist positions may continue for up to five years, subject to periodic review.
  • These are purely temporary project positions and do not confer any right to regular appointment in ISRO/NRSC.
